This programme introduces children to the idea of plants as living organisms which grow and change.

We look at the parts of a plant and needs for growing

Find out the part seeds play in the lives of plants and their reproduction. Discover how fruits contain different types of seeds and the ways they are adapted for dispersal. The class will discover where seeds fit into the life process of plants. Explore how animals and plants work together to aid each other's survival.

"What is in our lunchbox?" - the children are presented with a 'lunch' of twigs, bark, flowers, roots, seeds and leaves. We discuss the fact that different parts of plants are eaten through common foods.
